Riparian Plaza, Brisbane City

During the storm season of January 2014 the Riparian Plaza building at Eagle Street Pier in Brisbane’s CBD sustained damage to the underside of the canter-levered deck on level 41. PDQ were contracted by Riparian Plaza to undertake the repairs to the soffit which were located on the outside of the building, 149 metres above ground level.

Access to the damaged area was one of the most difficult aspects of the project given the areas to be repaired stood 7m above level 39 and 3.35m outside of the vertical building face.

The project was a huge success, achieving an Innovation in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) award and one of PDQ’s most triumphant projects.
