Palm Beach Surf Lifesaving Club

The Palm Beach Surf Club, is situated in a prime beachfront location and holds a commanding view of the Pacific Ocean. The club house was falling into disrepair as it had been largely untouched for approximately three decades. The board and management engaged Paynter Dixon Queensland (PDQ) to develop a 3 stage masterplan, with the first stage to focus on all operational areas. Through a tirelessly dedicated effort with clear communication and coordination with management, the kitchen remained closed for only two days throughout the 6 month program.

The new gaming room maximised the space to create a welcoming, expansive area that maximises access and flow around the room. Two (2) dedicated DOSA’s were built onto the building for both gaming and non gaming patrons.

Paynter Dixon Queensland commenced work with the Capalaba Sports Club in June 2015 after building a strong relationship with Management.

The refurbishment included relocating the existing gaming and dining areas, refurbishing the entry and finishes to the ground floor space. The refurbishment provided a much needed face lift with new bench tops, fresh paint and modern carpet giving it some extra spice! The goal was to create an atmosphere that was both inviting and oozed sophistication. Paynter Dixon were the Construction Managers on the project with Brand + Slater appointed by the client as the Architect. All work was completed seamlessly while the club was operational.

PDQ worked closely with the client to ensure minimal disruption occurred during all opening hours. The project was completed on time and within budget with many of the clubs' customers and Management expressing their delight with their final result.
