Griffith University-N75 Eskitis Building & G26 Glycomics Building, Gold Coast

TThe G26 Glycomics building is the third stage of the Institute of Glycomics biomolecular research precinct development which PDQ have delivered for Griffith University.

Key features include the central atrium which provides a place where the inner workings and experiments being undertaken by students are on display, promoting engagement within the faculty and with visitors. The Engineering building offers over 3000m2 of new building space which incorporates administration offices, post graduate laboratories, additional car parks and landscaping.

The new 4 level building features world class research laboratories for the study of glycons and glycon-binding motions in various biological systems, and the design of novel drugs and vaccines. The multi-disciplinary approach to glycomic drug discovery research is fostered through the planning of office and research laboratory spaces and areas where research staff can interact with their colleagues. With a new laboratory, lecture theatre, offices, plantrooms and storage, the building is modern in design as well as progressive in functionality.

The design and construction of this innovative facility involved the incorporation of complex service installations.

N75- The Eskitis Institute for Cell and Molecular Therapies is a state of the art facility built to enable research into drug and cell-based therapies for human diseases. Located within the Innovation Park adjacent to Griffith University, the Eskitis Institute accommodates 70 research staff and students.

Home to five key facilities including the Queensland Compound Library, National Centre for Adult Stem Cell Research, Cancer Therapeutics Cooperative Research Centre, Nature Bank and Eskitis Molecular Screening this stunning contemporarily designed facility projects the sentiment of the cutting-edge research that takes place within.

Paynter Dixons project team worked closely with the Universitys representatives and user groups in the design and construction of this cutting edge research facility.
